A Green River

Erik is a young military veteran who has returned from overseas to a world he now struggles to recognize.

As Erik contemplates his fate on the banks of the Green River, the realities of being a soldier, a husband, and an expectant father weight heavily on his already troubled mind, and the young man's life begins to flash before his eyes - Erik's past and present colliding in a mixture of memory and dream as murky as the old river itself.

REVIEWS

"A Green River is a magnificent production on all levels,
showing an intense amount of passion, skill, and craft in its execution.
It's not the kind of theatre that should be made in the area,
it's the kind of theatre that has to be made in the area for the art form to evolve.
It's one of the best shows you'll see all year on a local stage."
- Sean Leary, Quad-City Times

"...not to be missed - not only for being exceptional theatre,
but also for carrying an important and timely message"
- Thom White, River Cities' Reader

"A Green River has all the hallmarks of an instant classic.
...the best, most personally affecting of the four excellent, intimate plays
the Workshop has staged since it launched last August."
...how do you put a number on such
priceless beauty, heart, ambition, and thought-provoking smarts?"
- Jonathan Turner, The Dispatch-Argus
